Avartek UAS-Training is thorough and gives the student a good understanding of Avartek systems and teaches practical knowledge of operating an unmanned aerial system. The training is typically concentrated around  client specific applications of UAS usage. It teaches not just piloting and mission programming of an UAV but also different payload options and data processing for finished measurable and cross referenceable maps and other scientific data end products.

Training program is divided into four sections. Starting from the basic pilot training and ending in processing UAS acquired data

Goals

Each student will gain a complete understanding in operating, mission programming and servicing an Avartek unmanned aerial system. Each student will gain a thorough understanding in different payload options and learn to process UAV acquired data to satellite cross referenceable accurate and measurable maps, 3D surface models, point clouds and much more.

Solution

Each of the sections are taught by the very best people in the industry. Lecturers range from experienced UAV operators, to software specialists, land surveying and agricultural specialists to university professors.

Requirements

Students need to understand and communicate in English. All classes are held in English. Computer skills are a must and basic knowledge of Windows based operating systems.

Typical Training Outline (Example)

Training is divided into four sections plus an UAS-camp.

Section 1 – Unmanned Aerial Systems

This class is the fundamental part of the training. This is hands down in to the business of operating a professional unmanned aerial system. From catapult launching, flying, executing and completing a UA-mission to parachute landing. This class is held by Avartek.

  • Avartek Flight demo
  • Basic Components of UAV
  • Simulator training
  • Servicing and field repairing
  • Autopilot
  • Data links and ground-station

Section 2 – Ins and Outs of Micropilot Autopilot System

Autopilot is the heart and brain of an unmanned aerial system. This is the most important section for the pilot. It teaches safe and correct use of the system. Thorough training of the Avartek Micropilot autopilot system
Safety and proper use are stressed thru out this class

Section 3 – Payloads and Data Processing

Payload integration for different scientific results are studied and demonstrated. Complete software training in EnsoMosaic the most accurate mapping software.

  • Introduction to various payloads, different sensor types and their use are described
  • Data handling, practical capture methods and georeferencing of acquired data
  • Processing of imagery into measurable maps
  • Processing of imagery to surface models

Section 4 – Practical Uses and Case Studies

Case studies with top professionals.
